These people are mostly idiots, and I'm in it to win it.
Cole talking to the camera at the Bunk
Cole Dennis is a contestant who appeared on season 2 of Fishtank. He finished in 7th place.
Official Description[]
Introducing Cole, a 22-year-old with a razor-sharp mind and a creative soul, hailing from the heart of Little Rock, Arkansas. This season, Cole steps into the Fishtank, leaving behind the familiar hustle and bustle for an unpredictable journey beneath the watchful eyes of the cameras. With his trusty pencil, notebook, and ruler by his side — extensions of his analytical and methodical nature — Cole is ready to sketch his way through the highs and lows of the competition.
A natural-born leader as characterized by his Aries star sign, Cole possesses an unstoppable drive and an ambitious spirit. His comfort items are not just tools but symbols of his love for precision and order amidst the chaos of the house. Whether he is strategizing his next move or jotting down observations of his surroundings, these items are his armor in an environment where every moment is under scrutiny.
While Cole is an adaptable contender, he carries with him a strong aversion to cats, dogs, peanuts, and shellfish — a cluster of dislikes that might present unexpected challenges in the shared living space, where preferences and personalities often collide. One thing is for sure: Cole's distastes are as clear-cut as his strategic thinking, and his ability to navigate a house filled with the unpredictability of human (and perhaps pet) nature will be a compelling narrative to follow.
Will the structured world he crafts on paper hold up under the disorder of Fishtank living? Can Cole, with his elemental fire sign energy, ignite alliances and outwit opponents to come out on top? Keep an eye on the Fishtank as we watch Cole draw out his path to victory or erasure.
Overview[]
Cole made an early impression when he wasted no time after entering the house to search for usable items and messages around the house, leading to the moniker of Detective Cole. He was compared by fans to Detective Cole Phelps of L.A. Noire, as well as Rust Cohle of True Detective, the latter of which especially after Cole revealed he was once a background extra on True Detective. On day 5, Cole and Brian competed in a series of challenges, including Gator Squats, under the impression that one of them would be eliminated; however, it was revealed that neither of them were actually going home. This led into JC's self-elimination, which upset Cole.
By day 10, Cole had developed a noticeable cough and a copy of Halo 3 was brought into the house for him. His state worsened after sustaining an injury on his thumb during a martial arts session, and returned upstairs to find that Brian and Trisha had ruined his clothes. Cole began to seemingly make more demands and went on a tirade by himself in bedroom 2, making frequent references to season 1, including mentioning Letty's real name. Goldstriker interrupted Cole and told him to stop, before kicking a hole in the door. Ben later came by and told Cole that his replacement would be arriving soon; Cole left the house afterward.
Cole later confirmed in a stream with Megan that he did not leave voluntarily and was ejected, though he claimed he was still on good terms with production in spite of it. However, Sam later said that Cole did leave voluntarily and that production wanted him back, making Cole's exit further unclear.
Trivia[]
- During pre-season leaks for season 2, there was a different person named Cole who was included in the roster of contestants. The "fake" Cole was said to be from Austin, Texas (whereas the real Cole is from Arkansas), with an unusual feminine haircut. Cole said after his ejection that he had seen the picture, but could not explain it, as the person in the picture was not him.
- Cole's listing on the Contestants page was very briefly removed after Taylor entered the house on day 11, replacing his card. Ben claimed on Twitter that this was because it was easier to trade out Cole's card for Taylor's, though Cole's entry was later restored and Taylor was properly displayed as a separate freeloader.
