Ian is a contestant who competed on season 3 of Fishtank. He was voted out by the cast on Day 7 and finished in 11th place. He returned on day 24 as a freeloader.
Personal Life[]
Ian is from Hamlet, California[1] and is bilingual in English and Spanish, being of Mexican heritage. He is on disability (SSDI), though it is unknown which disability he has. He is a self-described introvert.
Fishtank Season 3[]
Ian was the 12th and final contestant to enter the Famous House. He lived a very sedentary lifestyle during his stay, as most of his activities were sleeping, eating, chilling on the couch, smoking, and drinking. During his first few days, Ian formed his closest connection with Simbal, and remain neutral or friendly with the other fish.
On day 4, when Mizzy woke up the fish to look for her stolen candy and Luke pushed Simbal, Ian was in the dining room eating a meal like a true king.
On day 5, after the Halloween dance challenge was over, Ian would drunkenly chat with other fish in the Den, where he revealed that he didn't know anyone's name name except Binx. He also jokingly referred to Mizzy as his girlfriend. A few hours later, Ian, still drunk, tried to cook some burgers and added way too much seasoning which made the food inedible.
On November 2nd, Ian was voted out by 8 of the other fish for being too lazy and seemingly not wanting to be there.
On November 19 (day 24), Ian came back as a freeloader. He was under the impression he could chill and smoke for a few days. He seemingly did little research on Fishtank and didn't watch it after he left. At 4 AM on day 20, Ian shot his shot at Mizzy and got friendzoned. He would continue doing nothing as usual, before getting angry at Jobe over his usage of the "n-word." On day 26, Ian left after Burt tipped the bunk bed over while he was pretending to be sleeping.
After Fishtank[]
Ian hosted an AMA on the Fishtank subreddit a week after his elimination.[2] He is grateful for the support he's received and is down to show up later in the season as a freeloader.
Trivia[]
- Ian's card on the website was mysteriously changed to say Freeloader rather than Contestant on November 1st, though this was most likely a joke by production to poke fun at Ian's laziness.
- Upon leaving, Ian was the 2nd most endorsed Fish, just behind Burt.
- Ian signed up for the show on a whim, presumably on Craigslist or Backstage, and almost didn't take the flight that production paid for.
