Jeffrey Michael "Jeff" Hayston is a freeloader who appeared on season 3 of Fishtank.

Overview[]

Jeff is a fentanyl dealer who has only a literal dollar to his name. He lives a troubled life, claiming to have been molested by his friend's mother at age 13-14 and committing self-harm. He is multiracial. He arrived during the Fishtank Triathlon, where he assisted with the smoking portion since Payton, being 19, was not able to participate. He earned the nickname "Janny Jeff" from fans due to his efforts cleaning up the place after the Triathlon. Jeff generally looked out for people and tried to bring order to the house. As he got more comfortable in the tank, he got increasingly drunk, loud, and talkative, leading to comparisons with Alex B. Jeff seemingly came to a breaking point during Day 23 and the early hours of Day 24, culminating in a physical confrontation with Jobe and Frank. Production often sent Jeff to sleep in the bathroom and gave him alcohol, despite him struggling with alcoholism. He left the house on Day 28 to make way for the arrival of the new fish in act 3.

On November 29, Jeff joined the fish during the RV trip and accompanied them to Las Vegas for act 4.

On December 5, Jeff was eliminated after production found illegal drugs in his bag. He was also accused of taking Luke's bag containing his ID.

After Fishtank[]

After season 3's conclusion, Jeff allegedly claimed in private DMs that he was still having trouble making it back home from Las Vegas. He also defended himself against the claims that he messed with Luke's bag.
